Event: 100 Friends - An Evening with Marc Gold and a Project of the Foundation for Sustainable Development Date(s): 06/22/06 Description: Please come and hear Marc talk about the project and join hundreds of people who contribute to 100 Friends. Marc will show photos and speak to us about the project. For more information visit: www.100friendsproject.org Marc started 100 Friends 17 years ago. The idea is very simple. Every year over 100 people contribute to 100 Friends. Marc takes the money to Third World Countries and looks for the neediest people he can find. He then puts the money to work in the most compassionate, appropriate, culturally compatible, constructive and practical manner possible. You put a donation into his hands and he puts the funds directly into the hands of the needy or a trusted grassroots organization. Marc works for six months in San Francisco and then spends the remaining six months in Asia. It's all direct, low budget, no bureaucracy, person-to-person help. He pays his own travel expenses and accommodations. He accounts for every contribution he receives. Location: At the home of: Janet Golden 345 S Elm Drive, #401 (The Regency Bldg.) Beverly Hills, CA 90212 Time: 7:15 PM Cost: No cost but donations will be accepted to support the project. Coordinator: Janet Golden, jnedlog@aol.com
